Nothing like a great concert to get me in the mood for a new commission cosplay costume, and only Nobuo Uematsu can kick off the excitement better - SEPHIROTH!!!!
Enjoyed a Distant Worlds Concert at Carnegie Hall this past Friday - special concert of Nobuo Uematsu's favorites, with composer in attendance. Such a great energy in the hall and on the stage. So fun to see a composer be so engaged with his work!
So much inspiration from the videos accompanying the great music. I had been dragging my feet on this make - not sure why because the only really big project for it is the coat.
Since I've been back home I've been on the internet sourcing pictures for details and colors.
The cosplay costume request is for a young Sephiroth outfit. Wig is already acquired but the coat is a bit more of a search - going to work my first time with faux leather - never sewn with such a thick material before - hopefully my sewing machine handles it well. Fingers-crossed!
